Modern Etiquette
I'm not a big fan of "small talks" (those quick conversation that are usually iniciated by an elderly person at public places, like while waiting for the bus, or at a bank...). Because of that I have a policy of "If I can't hear you, i'm not obligated to answear", meaning that I tend to listen my songs in the mp3 in a not very healty volum.
And yes, once an elderly woman rose her voice tone so that i could anwear her......

Temptation
One of the main reasons why I have some trouble into getting things done....
Also, I would like to apologise for taking so long into posting a new comic this week. And no, this comis has nothing to do with that.
The reason behing is that I was taking part into the SAFAC (South America Field Archery Championship), a 3-day archery competition wich I got THIRD PLACE!
YEY!

We're also children of God
" I understood the reactions of all the poeple around me - their looks, the distance. Like everyone else on the waiting room, I was there to check up with the cardiologist. I've had recently suffered from a heart attack. But my Orange jumpsuit of the penitenciary, handcuffs and two poloce officers holding their guns didn't quite helped me to fit in that place.
It was then, when na elderly woman came towards me, smiled and saud 'God bless you. I hope you're feeling well.'
'I'm great.', I answeared
Suddenly all my anxiety was replaced by a calm feeling.
'Thank you', I added.
Later, in the car that was taking me back to prision, I tought about how that elderly lady had passed trough all the exterior sights of a citizen, who most people consider to be a lower class, and seeing a person - a person who despite being a children of God, was, in many ways distant of his own Family.
Perhaps, she had seeing na opportunity to do something kind to a stranger.
Paul remind us that being christians, we're also called to show consideration and also to look for each other, specially for those who are in need of a conforting word.
Eventough those actions not Always happens naturally, our special efforts may cause a significant and long-lasting impression in people's life.

Styles
Just so you know; the art on the seccond painel is how I actually draw.
It took me years to achieve that lineart and I'm very proud of it!
Also, I'm so sorry for the "ridiculously awful anime style" on the 5º painel....... I haven't drew anything anime-like since my seccond college year.....

Bible and homossexuality
Before anyone starts to jump into conclusions, I would like to make it clear that this comic is not about homophobia, taking in cosideration the fact that I really don't care about your sexual orientation.
I honestly don't care if you are homossexual, assexual, pansexxual (wich I still think that is an unhealthy attraction to pans...), ... anyway, evetought I am a christian and think that homossexuality is wrong (due personal reasons; Bible and religion have nothing to do with it), this doesn't mean that I won't treat you like a human being because, who am I to judge someone?
Despite its title and content, this comic is about a situation thab makes me madder than the "Kids are violent because they play violent games" (a comic about the subject) .
I really can't stand when people starts to mock about religions (with the main target being chistianism), I get really upset and to avoid any kind on cofusion I always leave the place.
In most time of the ocasions is because it was hard for me to make people pay attention to what I have to say.
Before anyone asks, yes, I've actually heard people using as an argument that "The old Testmen isn't valid, because its old and the rules are stupid". What makes me even sadder is the fact that this statment was used by people who call themselves christians, but have actually no knowledge on the Bible.
Despite being a simple comic, I've never had so much trouble to finish something before (it was laying in a corner for nearly a month) and I wasn't so sure if I should post it or not. But then I tought "What the heck; I'm making these comics because I enjoy to create them. I'm not here to please anyone".
And yes, that's actually me; short curly brown hair ( well, actually I died my hair red a couple of month ago, but since the color is fading to it's original, I couldn't find the right color, so I ended up using it's original).
And sadly yes, my Bible actually is pink (it was a gift and it was the last one they had in store...). Despite its color I love it to pices and I can barely way to finish ruining the cover (I not only read it, but usually carry with me when I travel), because that's the only way to send it re-cover it and change its color.

Frustration
: "Congratulations! You managed to miss a simple jump!"
(Just in case you're not able to read what she's saying)
If you have already played "Portal I", you know how easy it is to miss a jump and, also how frustrating it gets.
And every single time I picture GLaDos calling me "a moron"....
Apart from that, it's a terrific game that when you manage to finish the puzzle, you find yourself the smartest person alive.
Fact1.: I went ot play again, to know how to draw the test chamber 18 (on 19). But I got carried away and ended up finishing the game. Again...
Fact2.: This is a remake and you can see the original here.

Creativity
For those who might not know; "Brain Blast" was Jimmy Newtron's catchphrase, whenever he had a great idea.
As a comic book artist, this happens far more often than it should.
And I hate every shingle time.
Enjoy my crappy animation C:

Bad image
For those who might not understood what happened; A 13 year old kid murdered his parents and the media blamed the video game found on the boy's bedroom; "Assassinn's Creed" (this happend a few days ago here, in Brazil)
And for those who are not familiar with the game, the symbol at Julia's jacket is the symbol of the Assassin's at the game
So, I know that this isn't new (it goes far way back since almost the birth of video games), but I can't avoid to express my sadness towards the thinking that "video games are the responsable for violent kids".
It's very easy to blame someone else intead of, for example, ausent parents.
Here at home (I'm still living with my parents) I have a younger 11 yeal old sister who, also enjoy to play video game. Gladly my parets take very serious the age that the game was rated (it's there for a reason) and, even she's having a hard time at school (she's bullied), she knows that it's possible to count with games like Minecraft to make her day better.
Also, I'm a huge fan of series like Assassin's Creed and mainly Metal Gear (both violent games), but I'm love with them for the story and mainly the game mecanincs whre you don't have to kill everyone you meet; Also, in MGS you get a better rating if you avoid killing your enemies.
Now I'm going to stop talking, otherwise I'll spend the whole night in fron of the screen, writting about this subject.
I was trying to find a video abot a speech of a student from Harvard (if I'm not wrong) where the speacher explained the beneficts of gaming, but I couln't find.
So, here's an old video from 2k12 about the subject:

Hiatus
In the words of GLaDOS, "I'm still alive"
Sorry for the lack of comics and all the rest...
And I believe that this comic strip in particular might explain the main reason.
The best thing was that a few days later, the made a sale where 3 games were 60% off.
Since the montly payment expired today, I decided to get back to the real live.
Tought life there is way better and more excited....

Game of Thrones - "Red wedding"
Due a failure in the episode that I've dounloaded, I was only able to watch the "Red Wedding" on las weekend and only God knows how I managed to stay away from spoilers...
Plus, I'm thinking to joing a group theraphy because I still in state of shock....
Also, I had this huge battle with lots of blodshed against the photoshop, so that's why this weeks the comic strip is late....

Artistic block
I'm participating in a cultural contest names "Ideias Ilustradas" (Something like "Illustrated Ideas"), where they send me a theme and I have to create something related to it.
It's kinda fun and I get to compete against some really outstanding brazillian comic book artists.
So, yeah, I ended up feeling some short of pressure.....
Also, you can see some extra content regarding this comic strip here.
First rule
A really, really, REALLY old idea that I've had since I was a little kid, when I'd first heared about the "Fight Club" movie.
I always tought that it would be a hard movie to rent....
Extra Content
MGS - Pepper spray
When I first played a game from the Metal Gear series (MGS3; Snake Eater, to be more precise), I had to use the box. So, yes, I got busted and yes, I wish it was able to find and equip a pepper spray.
While drawing this, I decided to keep this soldier. I already named him and more info will come, along with more strips related to him C:
Fun Fact: Originally this was supposed to be the strip that made me decide to create the "Sketches".

I'm Batman
Honestly, of all the comic stipes, this still my favourite
A friend of mine lent me his Batman: Arkham Asylum to play during a 3-day holiday and, well, needless to say that I camped during 3 days in my bedroom.
My only regret is that I hadn't finished all the Riddler's puzzles...
And played as the Joker.
But it was good and the game is FREAKING AWESOME!
Now I need to find a way to buy myself a copy and finish the Arkam City.

Big Boss - Okami
I found an old comic stripe related to the videogame Okami Amaterasu, or just Okami.
Don’t get me wrong, I really love this game, the graphics are amazing, and the story is great. Besides, it’s planned to be released an HD version for the PS3, and there’s this chance of me buying it, since the graphics are way better.
Plus, it’s an amazing game to have in your collection.

AUTHOR’S NOTE: Please, don’t take this too serius! It was made only for fun!
And in case anyone is wondering, I have a PS3. Anyone interested into buying a kidney? I’ve heard that you can live with only one, so I have one remain…
Good Night

Webcomic - 05
The last strip of my “webcomic” series.
And based on something that actually happened.
After the teacher gave us the instructions to create 5 comic stripes, I ended up going home before asking a really important question.
I forgot to ask him if the comics really had to be in the tradicional stripe format (horizontal; from one to four painels).
But I ended up drawing like that, anyway.
I only got the chnace to ask him, during my orientation, and he told me that I could do it the way I wanted.
But, since I had already done 3 stripes (except for the “V for Vendetta” - webcomic 03), I wasn’t going to waste and I decided to use what happened as the ending.

Webcomic - 04
And there’s only one more with the title “webcomic”, and then I can move on to something else.
For those who know me in RL, they know that I’ll do everything to please everyone who I know.
I’m not quite sure why, but according to a friend os mine, it’s because “I’m a good person”
But with that aside, the real meaning about this comic is because I’m really going to use a lot of different themes, meaning that not everyone of them will be abour Juli (the human) and Juba (the jaguar).

And that it’s “not a big deal”
Webcomic - 01
Assignment for the “webcomic” class, at my post-graduation in comics.
We had to come up with 5 comic stripes.
I did the 5, but I’m thinking about extending this “story” a little longer.
Same as it never was
It was a post-graduation assignment, where we needed to take something existend (games, books, movies, etc) and adaptade it into a 5 page comic.
Originally I was making a side story based on Assassin’s creed, but my computer wasn’t cooperating during the coloring phase…
So, I was thinking what could I do with tradional art that wouldn’t need to paint a lot and would look pretty nice with a messy lineart?
